FAQs

  • What are your membership fees and contract terms?

The monthly fee for an individual is $110. You can pay monthly and cancel anytime, as long as we have a 30-day notice. Membership fees go down if you are enrolling with a spouse/partner and/or family. Small businesses get an even lower rate, according to number of employees.

  • What is included in "unlimited visits"?

"Unlimited visits" means that you can come in-office, have a telemed visit or text/phone call with Dr. Chow as many times as needed each month. This could include routine check-ups, administering lab tests, minor procedures, and filling prescriptions. Lab test fees and prescriptions are not covered by your membership, but are available at reduced pricing.

  • How do discounts work for lab tests and prescriptions?

As a Direct Primary Care clinic, we have special discounted prices with lab tests and prescriptions. For medications, we have about 80 common generic prescription medications in stock in our in-house pharmacy, which includes common blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, antibiotic medications, etc.

  • Are emergency services, hospital visits, surgeries, or advanced imaging included? If not, what is the referral process or additional cost?

ER, hospital, surgeries, and advanced imaging are not included as part of the membership. Dr. Chow's members do have free access to RubiconMD's e-consultations with over 140 medical specialties.

  • Do you offer telehealth or after-hours services?

We do offer telehealth and after-hours services if you are a member. Once you are a member, you will receive Dr. Chow's personal number where you can text/call at any time!

  • Will I see the same doctor every time?

Yes. DPC emphasizes continuity of care, so you typically see the same physician at each visit. Dr. Chow will be your doctor from start to finish at Ohana Medical.
